You choose which apps on your kid’s iPhone stay locked. When your kid opens one, they get five times-table questions. Once they’ve answered them, the apps open for 30 minutes and then lock again.

What you can set

• How many questions per round (3 to 20)
• How long the apps stay open (5 minutes to 3 hours)
• How many unlocks per day (1 to 12)
• Which times tables, from 1×1 up to 20×20

The settings are behind a four-digit PIN. If your kid has earned some extra time, you can give them an unlock that doesn’t count toward the daily limit.

Wrong answers come back at the end of the round, and questions your kid missed turn up again in later rounds.

How the lock works

The lock uses Apple’s Screen Time, so iOS does the blocking, not the app. Your kid can’t delete the app without your approval.

Your data

There’s no account and no ads, and the app doesn’t track anything. Settings and progress stay on the phone.

What you need

An iPhone or iPad with iOS 17.4 or later, signed in with a child Apple Account in your Family Sharing group. You set it up on your kid’s device and confirm once with your own Apple Account.
